I was looking up something on google but then I saw a picture of Aly & AJ 

and thought I should do a google search and I found this picture and wanted to make

a cover and I looked at their songs and this song was the best considering the picture

Katy Perry - Wide Awake

I saw that someone used this for a Katy Perry B-Sides album and i didn't really think that it fit 

the album but I liked the photo and thought that i would be perfect for a "Wide Awake" single cover

Book, Handbook, CD cover and Logo (High School Works)

I made this in high school graphic design class. the whole thing was inspired by John Lennon's

"Imagine." Thats why the first one was summer not winter because I would have had it winter, spring, early summer,

late summer, and then fall, but I wanted already had all the pages done before i noticed.

I made this for a contest to make a cover for the school date thing. I went to

St. Ursula Academy and they were the arrows (random mascot but whatever,) I did

everything using the brush tool and pen tool on Illustrator, I did not copy anything and I worked really hard.

I wanted it to be playful and every year they make a freshmen t-shirt that uses stick people always as the image on the shirt.

I was mad because I lost to somebody that put a texture then a font writing what it was in the middle.

this is a logo I made for a contest, I did not o all out because I was in the middle of doing an actual

assignment and it was mandatory to enter the contest. I like it, it is plan and simple.

We could only use two colors and the gradients of the colors to create an album cover.

when the album cover is in the case the line on the sides match up together. The strawberry is on

the CD and I decided to use the pen tool in Illustrator to copy the strawberry and it came out amazing.

Katy Perry - Fireworks (soon)

This is eventually going to turn into an album cover just not sure if I am ready to smack the logo

on it and say its done. The image is simply a still from the fireworks music video. I placed a texture onto

the image and and made it lighter and a lot more lighter on her face.

I have not finished it because I want to be very proud of this cover.

Backgrounds

I created the first one with Photoshop and the second one with Illustrator.

The first one was a a random picture that I pulled together and planned on using

it for a wallpaper but never did. I like how it turned out.

The second one was inspired to look like a comic book background. I really like that look, it is really cool.

Victorious

This is kind of embarrassing but I like music I can sing too and I like some of the songs, 

I think its more because Nickelodeon over played the music videos in the commercial.

I made the image and shows logo transparent, then underneath the logo I added a light to pop out the 

logo because the logo blends in with the cast photo. Then I created a background that I thought would go

good with the show and thats what it became.

apparently I did a good job creating that background because everyone asked for it when I shared this cover

with people online not sure where.

Colorings

These are two pictures that I used channel mixer to create a different coloring effect.

The first one I colorized because I was bored and the second one I colorized to create an

album cover with but I ended up using the one I edited and making it black and white.

This was one of those album covers I made because I was looking up larger images of somebody's

album photo shoot and I stumbled across that photo shoot and was inspired to create an album cover

for her even thigh she has not yet to release a solo album.

Class Reflection

Well I’ll start of saying that this class had made me want to pull out my hair and also made me please with later results of some of my work for this class.

What I like about this class, is that you showed us different programs that are easier or they help more then the other more sophisticated programs, but the negative thing about some of the programs is that they are sophisticated (some of them did not give much control to the user.) I really like that Scribbler Too program, it is definitely a program I intend to use after this class. Assuming I do not purchase Adobe Illustrator anytime soon, I am planning on using Aviary’s, Raven for the personal handwriting I do because using a handwriting font because it is boring and I like my handwriting.

The hardest thing that I came across in this class was creating music because I have never done it before and I do not know how cords and stuff work. I probably would have been better if I at least knew how to play an instrument, but I lost interest in the guitar (probably wouldn’t if I was paying somebody,) and the original instrument I want to learn is the piano. The beat week almost made me give up on this class because I just was not coming together and the program that puts the beats together I did not get at first and that was the biggest problem I had. That week was finally over and then Monday came and we had to do another thing I have never done and that was put clips into a movie (I have created a movie before but that was just with pictures, more of a slide show with music.)

I would like to get better at creating music because I would like to eventually for the fun of it write my own music and lyrics (maybe I can get signed or sell it to somebody.) another thing would be get better at creating a movie, although I intend to use pictures I constructed to create an animated movie I had in my head.

For my career as a graphic designer, I believe I mastered making logos although you cannot tell with the logos I made for this class because I have made several that have turned out really well (it is kind of scary because I do not want to make people logos.) I also mastered scribbler somewhat and this would be good with inner design of the album booklet.

Overall I would like to get better at everything because personally I do not think I am that good at anything that we did in this class. I have not done anything digitally that long or made it my life to be that good at creating digital artwork. That’s partly why I am not trying to go into business without going to college because I know I need more skill and I want to work with an actual business in the beginning.

I liked how this album came out so I decided to share this cover.

I wanted it to appear like there was spray paint or something spread across it.

Taylor Swift Album Covers

Back to December

I see people use cool borders around their album covers they make, so I decided to do

it myself. I messed around with the desaturate controls to get a perfect black and white.

I originally was making a cover for her song "Haunted" but thought that "Back to December" fit it better.

It looks like she is sitting in front of a snowy window looking outside.

My purpose with the cover was to make it look innocent because of the song title, I originally wanted

to colorize her dress white because white is the color of innocence but I realized it was to white in the picture

so I kept her dress pink. I softened up the picture added a weird texture it just looked like it needed something

(the second cover I smoothed it it to blend in more.) I used the font from her album cover "Speak Now" and

did extra work to it to make it more mine (the "I" and "T" i edited.)

Selena Gomez & the Scene - Round & Round

I made this cover because I had this picture of Selena Gomez transparent

for a poster I made for a friend, so I was inspired to make a cover for her.

I used a picture for the color for her logo. I chose to use a "victorian grunge" texture

because I liked it. I place another texture over the "victorian grunge" texture and removed colors

from the texture then what was left I turn blue. Then I darkened around the border to make it

appear darker.

Katy Perry - Teenage Dream

This album cover I made is of Katy Perry's second CD. My intension was

for the cover to look similar to the original one but with the logos.

The quality is off a little because I had to blur it so the picture was not

obviously a scan since he photo shoot has not been released.

I took the border from inside the booklet also.

More Logos

The first logo i made using a special brush on Adobe Illustrator. 

My intension was to make it appear that it was made with lipstick;

I think I some what succeeded.

The second logo I made to originally be in the top corner of the background,

but it ended up not being visible because of how thin the strokes are.

Logos

The first logo is inspired by a birthday sign I did for a friend of mine. I choose the color purple because it looks good with the font and I did the cursive on it with the pencil and put the smooth up high to create the loose effect.

The second logo was just a simple logo I would have done with the banner for my blog on a regular occasion. I like the light blue with the white on black.

I like simple stuff. the only thing that would be crazy would be the image used for the banner

Excoffizer

I like to take pictures of my eye. I messed around with the settings and this is what I liked best.

I like this generator because it makes the pictures appear old, sometime in the 20's (more like a screen capture from a video

from that time.)

Textorizer 2

This picture came out weird, it's originally a outline of a duck.

I would have changed the picture because of it doing that but I liked that it basically filled in the outline. The duck was chosen at random, although I do like rubber ducks. The text is just the word "Duck."

This is a fish. The text says "Swimming in the ocean" because thats what fish do.

I chose to do a fish I created with illustrator because they live in water and sometimes I wish I could.

Tagxedo

I like bananas and to make it weirder I like when they aren't ripened yet, because when I was a kid I couldn't wait for them to ripen so I would just eat them unripened. I chose the colors patterns to fit the unripe banana theme and also used my name because I couldn't think of anything else; which it ended up working because it explains me

This image is a dandelion that I created in my high school graphic design class for a book about dreams. 

You can't see it but it has music notes coming off the weed. I love those weeds because they give me hope that

dream do come true.

Flame Painter

1. (Think) This picture created with scribbler too first started out random, then I noticed it started to look like a brain (a picture of the neurons). I added the question mark for a hint to what the picture is.

2. (The Lost Heart) This picture is of a heart lost in a maze; which is sort of symbolism of someone without a heart believed by many but eventually it appears, kind of like the story of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" (when they realize they have it).

3. (The Athlete) At first it was a random picture I made prior to this image, I tried to recreate it because the one got messed up by me adding extras and since you can't redo, I had to recreate.

4. (Empty Heart) I have a obsession with drawing hearts, I don't know why because they're not anything that i particularly like or care for what they stand for; which I guess would explain why both pictures I created with hearts are "dark". The holes represent what we try to fill with people or materialistic things.

5. (Rainbow) This has two meanings for me, one is when I was younger i use to love making rainbows, and two I am all for gay marriage because if we can why can't they. The second one became the meaning after seeing the final product because i was originally messing around.

6. (Music) I created this one to look like a equalizer for when you play music on iTunes or Windows Media Player. Music is a big part of my life.

7. (Star) I'm obsessed with space and recently i became obsessed with stars in general. The color besides the yellow was used as a calm way to show how powerful everything above us really is (the yellow is the power)
